The Blue Thunder Marching Band is a competition-based group that performs at football games, pep rallies, assemblies, and field show tournaments. Students apply modern marching technique, visual design, physicality, and musical techniques to learn a competitive show while applying teamwork and leadership skills. Rehearsals begin 3 weeks prior to the start of school with a mandatory band camp. Additional rehearsal will take place after school during the week and various Saturdays leading up to competitions. Students also perform at football games and other school and civic functions.

Pep Band
Pep Band is a continuation of Marching Band, where students will apply musical and ensemble playing skills to popular music, providing entertainment at home basketball games from November-February, as well as assemblies and pep rallies into the spring. Freshmen and sophomores who participated in Marching Band in the fall semester must continue with Pep Band during the spring semester.
